About the Artist
Suk Tai, originally from Melaka, has a Nyonya mother and a Hakka father. Having lived in the UK, France, New Zealand, and Malaysia, her work reflects a rich blend of cultural influences.
With interests in food, travel, and art, Suk Tai approaches life with playful curiosity, allowing intuition to guide her creative process. She sees herself as a collector and arranger of life’s elements, balancing spontaneity and intention.
Her art explores life's transience, the duality of existence, and the cause-and-effect patterns shaping human identity.
Suk Tai's career includes exhibitions across Malaysia, New Zealand, and the UK, where she has received numerous accolades, such as the Gold Water Art Awards and the Daler-Rowney Awards.
Infusing her art with tradition and modernity, she creates thought-provoking compositions that reflect her cultural heritage and personal experiences.
